We would like to set up a list of people who would like to have a companion for some of the following activities.  You may also like to add a suggestion for an activity to the list below.  The list would be kept offline and your names would only be given to people who live in one of our two buildings. 

 

If you are interested, please contact us with your name, unit number, phone number, and the activity you are interested in. Once your name is verified, you will be contacted by phone, and your name will be added to the list.

 

Companions for Outdoor Activities

 

• Walking

• Nordic walking with poles

• Biking

• Skiing

• Snowshoeing

• Any other activity you would like to do

 

Companions to spend some time with

 

• Bridge game or any card game

• Lunch nearby

• Day trip - remember: every Wednesday is a free day on OC Transpo

• Excursion out of town for the day

• Perhaps a drive downtown to see the Christmas lights or whatever is going on in our great city

 

Reading and Writing

 

• Book Reccommendations.  Readers amongst us would enjoy the name of a book you have enjoyed, so we would be grateful if you would take the time to send us the name of the book and it's author. You might also mention whether it is in our library.

• Review a Book.  An even better way to choose a book is to read a review.  If you take the time to do this, it will be featured on the "reading" page.  

• Have you written a short story or a book and would like to share it with us? We would be happy to mention it here.

• If there is enough demand, a new page just for books will be opened.
